Disc Golf New York State: Parma and Warwick

Since moving to California in 2000, what I really miss about New York State is the changing Fall colors and cool crisp air. So it was great to get to enjoy both while playing at some quality Disc Golf courses during a family visit back East.

The first course was close to my home town Rochester, just past Spencerport in Parma, NY. This was the first time I've played here and was absolutely blown away.

Hole 1.

Hole 5.

Parma has an excellent variety of open fairways for airing it out and tight, wooded alleyways that demanded accurate throws. Spread out on a sprawling piece of land with some slight elevation and water that came into play on a couple of holes. Amazing course!

Then I returned to the world class Animal course in Warwick, NY.

Overlooking the course from the gazebo next to hole 1.

The Animal course in Warwick really has it all. Elevation, creeks, open fairways, tight woods and 2 tees and 2 baskets for every hole. You can play short, long or in-between. It truly has something for everyone. Love this course.

East Coasters: Ed, Mike and Whitey.
